An environmentally friendly construction project
PROJECT: EPIC Centre Lincolnshire Showground
MAIN CONTRACTOR: RG Carter
PROJECT VALUE: £150,000
We were please to be involved in this flagship project which used a variety of materials to reduce the carbon footprint and provide an environmentally friendly building.
From Knauf Futurepanel (which is the first available carbon neutral plasterboard) to CLAYTEC Fine-Finish clay plaster which was used to skim them, all avenues were looked at with a view to reducing the carbon footprint and building for the future.
The innovative design of the main hall incorporated recycled hit and miss panels of cedar wood under an Acoustifoam® covered soffit, Rockfon acoustic wall panelling and sections of walls and linings incorporating Ty-mawr boards which were produced in Wales from straw.
